Abstraction
  • The combined inflation of the 2 CPI cities in Southeast Sulawesi in March 2021 was recorded at 0.07 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.85.
  • Kendari City experienced inflation of 0.39 percent while the City of Baubau experienced deflation of 0.99 percent with CPI of 105.32 and 103.38 respectively.
  • Inflation occurred due to an increase in the price index in the transportation group by 0.47 percent; clothing and footwear group 0.13 percent; the food, beverage, and tobacco group and the health group respectively at 0.04 percent. Groups that experienced deflation were among others the recreation, sports, and culture group 0.43 percent; personal care and other services group 0.14 percent; equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group 0.03 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication and financial services group; education group; and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group did not experience change / was relatively stable.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation include cayenne pepper, anchovies, air transport, skipjack / hawksbill, online 4-wheeled vehicle rates, Moringa leaves, rambe fish, shallots, cooking oil, and long beans.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation include flying fish / benggol, mackerel / mackerel / banyar fish / gembolo / aso-aso fish, selar fish / tude fish, kale, gold jewelry, children's toys, live chicken, katamba fish, men's shorts, as well as purebred chicken.
