Abstraction
  • In September 2021 inflation was 0.11 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.97. Of the 90 CPI cities, 34 cities experienced inflation and 56 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang at 0.60 percent with a CPI of 104.98 and the lowest occurred in Surakarta at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 105.96. Meanwhile, the deepest deflation occurred in Gorontalo at 0.90 percent with a CPI of 105.94 and the lowest occurred in Palu at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 108.33.
  •  Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the price index in the education group by 2.49 percent; clothing and footwear group 0.12 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group 0.08 percent; information, communication, and financial services group 0.07 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups 0.06 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group 0.05 percent; and 0.01 percent health group. The groups experiencing deflation include the recreational, sports, and cultural groups 0.42 percent; transportation group 0.19 percent; as well as
  •  personal care and other services group 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group did not experience any change/relatively stable.
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–September) 2021 is 2.68 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2021 to September 2020) is 2.68 percent.
  •  Commodities contributing to inflation include mackerel/bloated fish/banyar fish/gembolo fish/aso-aso fish, academies/colleges, cars, selar fish/tude fish and young corn/putren.
  •  Commodities that contributed to deflation included air transport, scad/benggol fish, cayenne pepper, shallots, and anchovies.
